Lock up in a week?

By the end of day 3 we had the trusses up! Yes our new system of off-site fabrication of open wall panels with windows and cladding pre-installed was a success. Despite a cold snap at the end of spring we pressed on with the installation of one of our new panelised homes. With the frame and cladding completed by the end of week one we

Carbon + classroom

Somers build

The new house in Somers has started construction. Sometimes we have to go a bit 'old-school' for the best outcome. A great build on the Mornington Peninsula maximising a north facing orientation and providing a family home to last a lifetime. A couple of 3D snapshots of how the finished product will look.   We'll do a full report at the end of the job.

Dalyston house

In a small country town, at the end of a quiet cul de sac we have completed one of our new panelised homes. The home was completed in 6 weeks. After 30 years of designing and building timber framed prefabricated housing around Australia and the world we have now embarked on a new era of off-site construction utilising off-site factory automation and computer-driven fabrication to

Studio in Brunswick

As Melbourne’s urban areas sprawl and the debate around housing density and apartment sizes continues, Fairweather Homes maintains a commitment to infill projects to activate pockets of inner urban land which are otherwise under-utilised. The Brunswick studio replaces a dilapidated store room and workshop with a new garage area with self-contained studio above. This allows for an ageing parent to move closer to the family
